YOUR TASKS (depending on the area of application)

  • Model-based software development for embedded systems including simulation and testing
  • Comprehensive development support along the development cycle in automotive or railways including project management tooling and reporting
  • Varying focuses ranging from requirements engineering via architecture design and function development to unit testing and hardware in the loop (HiL)
  • Generation of requirement specifications at various levels of detail
  • (Model-based) development based on MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C++ or other programming languages
  • Test management and testing during development phases (system tests, hardware in the loop tests, software tests)

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of model-based software development and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, C/C++ (Embedded), MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent)
  • Preferably practical experience in the area of work described above and a basic system understanding in automotive or railways
  • Be proactive, able to work independently and a team player
  • Good communication skills in both German and English

  • Project support regarding standard-compliant development of safety-critical systems in accordance with applicable standards 
    • Hazard and risk analysis
    • Deriving of safety objectives
    • Specification of safety requirements
    • Generation and review of safety-relevant documents (RAMS plan, technical safety concept, concept for approval, etc.)
    • Conducting analyses (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, etc.)
  • Verification and validation according to Functional Safety or RAMS including the creation of templates, plans and checklists

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive or Railways Engineering or equivalent and relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of common analysis methods for the development of electronic safety systems and familiarity with relevant standards
  • Be proactive, work independently, able to communicate well and with a customer-focused approach
  • Passionate about technology development, willing to adapt quickly to new topics
  • Good communication skills in both German and English
